Plan review for the above referenced structure has been completed. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received.
Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC).

1. The generator exhaust must be 10 feet from any air intake openings of any dwelling and 6 feet from the property line, R303.5.1. Show a generator location in compliance with these setback requirements.

2. Provide the conductor type and size from the MSP and from the Generator, to the ATS (thwn, thwn-2, etc.).
3. Maximum conductor ampacity is determined by applying correction and adjustment factors for temperature of insulation rating of 90C and CCC (Current Carrying Conductor) proximity. Reference NEC 310.15, Table 310.15(B)(2)(a), 310.15(B)(2)(b) and 310.15(B)(3)(a). The adjusted conductor rating may not be less than the calculated Conductor Sizing.
4. Provide the breaker size from the MSP to the Disconnect/ATS.
5. Show/Provide the OCPD protection at the generator.
6. Provide manufacturer’s specification sheets for all new equipment.
7. Provide the generator’s size and specifications.
