This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received. Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC). 1. Provide a complete gas piping template, G2401.1, R301.1: Include pipe size, type (Black Iron, Poly) and length. Provide appliance demands, G2413.4.1. >>> Missing pipe type for each segment. https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/sharedassets/public/v/1/pdsd/documents/permits/residential-permits/gas_handout_2018_irc_2019.2.4.pdf 2. Clearly mark the segment that is being replaced. The provided gas template shows the gas line to the BBQ as ½”. The details state it is to be upsized to 1”. 3. Modifications to the gas line may require that the existing system be enlarged to meet the total demand based on the new length, or a new dedicated line is required for the additional attached loads, G2412.3, G2412.4. 4. Size the pipe based on the length from the meter to the farthest attached appliance and max total Branch demand of all attached appliances using Table G2413.4(1) (Metallic Pipe), Table G2413.4(7) (Polyethylene Plastic Pipe). Note: The length is measured from the meter to the furthest attached appliance for all sizing, G2413.4.1. >>> Every segment of the gas pipe system is undersized for the given length and demand.
