This letter reflects comments to be addressed. For facilitating a shorter back check time, please provide updated plans and calculations with a written response to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Do not cloud the changes made for comment revisions. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review covers architectural, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation and electrical. All code references are to the 2018 International Residential Code and 2018 International Energy Conservation Code. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. PROVIDE A COMPLETE PLAN SET showing all proposed building details compliant with 2018 IRC code. Provide a response letter on separate file with submitting the updated construction plan set. Provide a clear and concise construction plan set. Sample drawings for a wooden Patio Cover are similar to the Porch Sample. Sample plans are available at https://www.tucsonaz.gov/Departments/Planning-Development-Services/Permits/Residential-Permits STRUCTURAL PLANS: 1. Provide a Roof Framing Plan showing the location and size of beams and rafters for supporting live and dead structural loads, R804. 2. A detached patio cover requires lateral structural support with diagonal braces between wood posts and beams, R301.1. SECTIONS - DETAILS: 1 Show a complete cross-section detail with post to foundation fasteners for post/beam construction, R407.3 & R507.4.1. 2 Provide structural roof sheathing and fastening in compliance with Table R602.3 (1). 3 Identify all fasteners for wind loading compliance. Show roof (uplift resistance) fasteners (H2.5) with appropriate uplift capacity, R802.11 amended. ELECTRICAL PLANS: 1. Show any electrical alterations.
