Please submit all the same materials under the Historic sub-record. Once you log into TDC Online, go to the My Work tab, and then go to Plans (not Permits). Under Plans there should be the Historic sub-record which I have opened under the TC permit number, and this is where the materials are submitted. Given that the application is for solar panels, it will be a Minor review. On page 2 of this document under Minor review in the table are all the items that you will need for the historic minor review. In addition to documents submitted for the permit, please add a project description/narrative; color photo of the house showing where the panels will be located; AZ Historic Property inventory Form; and drawing to indicate the distance from the roof to panels. Once submitted the system will generate an SD #. Staff will then contact you about the next steps including invoicing and payment of review fee. Once fee are paid, a minor review will be scheduled. Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC). 1. Provide a lag-bolt connection up-lift calculation demonstrating the wind load supporting capability for 115 MPH, and provide an engineer’s calculation, and sealed design, R301.1, R324.4. 2. Provide complete roof framing information for determining load carrying capacity for the roof structure. Show all load bearing locations. Demonstrate the ability for supporting the existing and additional dead load, and provide an engineer’s calculation, design, and seal for verifying the truss load carrying capacity. R324.4 Equipment shall be positively attached to the roof structure with a minimum of one connection per 10 sf of equipment (minimum of two connections per piece of equipment).
