This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received. Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC), 2017 National Electrical Code (IRC). SITE PLAN: 1. Show the location and size of buildings, utility meters and gas, water, electric and sewer or septic lines from property line to building, R106.1.1. Identify the utility lines requiring upgrade or replacement. https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/pdsd/forms/Residential_Plot_Plan_Requirements.pdf Electrical: 1. Show that the relocated TEP service wires meet 2017 NEC Article 230 overhead clearance requirements, (A) Over building roofs – Conductors shall have a vertical clearance of not less than 8 feet above the roof surface. The vertical clearance above the roof level shall be maintained for a distance of not less than 3 feet in all directions from the edge of the roof. It appears that moving the service lines may cause the lines to pass over an existing structure. 2. If the 8’ clearance above the structure cannot be maintained according to 2017 NEC Article 230, then the Service Meter/Panel will need to be located such that the service lines do not pass over the structure. 3. Provide an electrical riser diagram, E3403. Notate the grounding and bonding method, E3607. Metallic gas/water lines must be bonded and not be used as the primary grounding method, E3608.
