Detail and specify stair width (min 36”, R311.7.1), rise and run (min. 10” tread depth, 7 ¾” max. riser height, R311.7.5), landing width (R311.7.6), handrail height (R311.7.8.1), guardrail height (R312.1) and intermediate rail spacing (R312.2). 2. Specify the direction of slope for the patio slab as away from the existing structure, R506.1 3. Show or notate excavation near existing footings shall not remove lateral support from any foundation without first underpinning or protecting the foundation against settlement or lateral translation.
