A single-family residence is a permitted use in this zone (Table 4.8-5). RESUBMITTAL OF THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED: Correct plans, as noted in the comments below, along with a response letter indicating how all Site Zoning comments were addressed. 1. It appears the incorrect tab was used for uploading the sub records. Instead of a Design Development Option “DDO” which is processed under the Zoning Modification sub record tab,. the ‘Special District Sub-Record,’ should have been used. 2. The property is located within the Barrio Historic Preservation zone. Historic review is required as was discussed in the 4/20/26 Site Zoning comments. Here are the comments provided on 4/09/2026 by the Historic review team: This property is located within the Barrio Historico Historic Preservation Zone. Historic Review is required. SPECIAL DISTRICT SUB-RECORD: You must create a Special District (SD) Sub-Record in TDC Online for your Historic Review. For instructions on how to create a Sub-Record, see: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/sharedassets/public/v/2/pdsd/documents/tdc-faq/new-pdfs/sub-records.pdf. Historic Review requires a supplemental application called a Design Package. As part of your Design Package, include in what you already submitted the following: 1. existing and proposed elevations/sketches 2. existing and proposed roof plan 3. A zoomed in aerial photograph showing the existing roof shape and form This is because the proposed scope of work entails adding a ridge vent. Homes built in the past did not have these and thus would constitute an alteration to the original, historic design of the roof. The elevations/sketches will help in determining whether this will have an adverse impact (or not) on the historic character of the house and context area 3. Site Zoning is unable to approve the permit until the Historic Review Design Package has been approved. Once approved, please upload the decision letter with the site plan and other relevant materials under the portal for TC-RES-0426-01615.
