An associated floodplain use (FPU) permit must be approved and issued prior to approval of this building permit. The proposed manufactured structure must demonstrate adequate anchoring to prevent flotation, collapse or lateral movement. Additionally, wet floodproofing is recommended as opposed to dry floodproofing. Demonstrate wet floodproofing by showing “a minimum of two (2) openings, on different sides of each enclosed area, having a total net area of not less than one (1) square inch for every square foot of enclosed area subject to flooding. The bottom of all openings shall be no higher than one (1) foot above grade. Openings may be equipped with screens, louvers, valves, or other coverings or devices provided that they permit the automatic entry and exit of floodwater” https://codelibrary.amlegal.com/codes/tucson/latest/tucson_az/0-0-0-19689
2. Apply for FPU permit through “Sub-Records” of this permit (TC-RES-0426-01606). Approval and issuance of FPU is required prior to approval of this building permit.
3. For the proposed manufactured structure to be compliant with floodplain regulation, please resubmit construction documents with the following:
a. Details on anchoring the structure
b. Details on wet floodproofing
