Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC), 2018 International Building Code (IBC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC). 1. Modifications and additions to the gas line may require that the existing system be enlarged to meet the total demand based on the new length and load, G2412.3, G2412.4. 2. Provide a complete gas piping template showing the connection and length from the meter to all attached appliances, G2401.1, R301.1: Include pipe size, type (Black Iron, Poly) and length. >>> Gas line schematic must show connection from the meter to all appliances and include pipe sizes and lengths. 3. Size the pipe based on the length from the meter to the farthest attached appliance and max total demand of all attached appliances using Table G2413.4(1) (Metallic Pipe), Table G2413.4(7) Polyethylene Plastic Pipe.
