This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC). 1. Changes in the gas appliances requires a gas plan. Provide the following information for code verification. a. Longest length, measured from the meter to the farthest attached appliance, G2413.4.1. This length is used in the following tables to select the correct pipe sizes. (Use the next largest length row that is greater than the longest length measurement. ) b. The individual demand of each attached appliance and total demand. Use Table G2413.4(1) (Metallic Pipe) to calculate correct required pipe sizes. (Table G2413.4(7) Polyethylene Plastic Pipe). The provided plans show the removal of the gas line to the exiting furnace. Provide heating facilities in all habitable rooms, R303.9. 3. The replacement of the existing furnace will need to be included in the scope of work or an additional permit will need to be filed to cover this. 4. Provide demand calculations in accordance with Manual J/S/D standards, M1401.3, M1601.1. Systems shall be sized in accordance with Manual S based on building loads calculated in accordance with Manual J and duct systems sized in accordance with Manual D.
