This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC) 1. Building cannot approve without Zoning approval for an accessory structure on an adjoining parcel. 2. Provide Pima County registered easement documentation for all solar placements and electrical runs. 3. Where PV source and output circuits operating at maximum system voltages greater than 30 volts are installed in readily accessible locations, circuit conductors shall be guarded or installed in Type MC Cable or in a raceway, NEC 690.31(A). 4. Where live parts of electrical equipment are operating at 50 to 1000 volts, such equipment shall be guarded against accidental contact by approved enclosures or other approved means, NEC110.27(A). 5. Where subject to physical damage, conductors, raceways, equipment, and cables shall be protected. NEC 300.4 Protection Against Physical Damage, NEC110.27(B) Prevent Physical Damage. 6. Per zoning administration and residential building review, PV system cannot provide power to structures that are not within the subject parcel. Zoning cannot approve until either: a. The parcels are combined. b. The PV array is moved to the same parcel as the primary residence (6311 E BRIAN KENT) 2. Structures located in the front perimeter yard of a parcel have a maximum square footage of 400sf. If PV array is moved it cannot be located within the width between the building and the front perimeter yard unless it is smaller or equal to 400sf in size.
