This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC) 1. Provide manufacturer specification sheets for all collector panels, inverters, mounting hardware, power optimizers etc. R324.3. 2. Provide a 3-line diagram identifying each component and circuit notating sizes and installation details. (Wire size and type, OCPD, MSP bus rating, MSB, PV backfeed OCPD). 3. AC Overcurrent Protective Device and Conductor Sizing for PV source Circuits and Module Interconnection Conductors (Imax x 1.25) Reference NEC 690.8(A)(3) and (B)(1). Show a complete calculation for determining OCPD and conductor requirements. 4. Show the equipment grounding conductor size as required by table 250.122 (#14 for 15A, #12 for 20A & #10 for 30 – 60 A). 5. Specify and show a continuous Grounding Electrode Conductor ( NEC 250.64(C ), 250.160). 6. Show compliance with 2017 NEC 690.12 Rapid Shutdown of PV Systems on Buildings. PV system circuits installed on or in buildings shall include a rapid shutdown function to reduce shock hazard for emergency responders in accordance with 690.12(A) through (D). 7. Provide the exact wording and location for the Photovoltaic system Warning signs and labels as required in NEC 690 and 705.12(B)(2)(3) b-c. a. “Photovoltaic System Disconnect” NEC 690.13(B) b.
