| 05/07/2024 | Light Residential Building Review (OIP) | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | Permit Review TC-RES-0324-01635 (140 S IRVING AV TUCSON, AZ 85711) Plan review for the above referenced structure has been completed. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received. Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC). 1. The EOR’s seal must be placed on the updated plans for the structural sheets, R106.1. Reference: Arizona Revised Statutes 32-125, Board of Technical Registration Rules R4-30-304 2. Provide a Grounding Electrode System at the detached structure per NEC 690.47. 3. Update the Site Map label on sheet PV-5 to correctly reflect the location of the PV modules. 4. Aerial views of the property show the MSP under the back porch, not the location shown on the plans. Clarify if the MSP is being relocated as part of the upgrade. Show the location of the Overhead Electrical Line on the site plan. 5. Aerial views of the property show the overhead service conductors passing over the roof of the porch at the back of the property. The overhead service conductor over the structures requires an 8’ clearance above the roof, E3604.2.1. The 8’ clearance is required to be maintained for a distance of 3’ from the edge of the roof. Show a mast height necessary to achieve this clearance. The necessary mast height at the existing panel location may not be a feasible installation and may require the relocation of the service entrance to a code compliant location. 6. After a review of aerial views (https://maps2.tucsonaz.gov/Html5Viewer/?viewer=maptucson#) of the property, it appears that PV modules are mounted on an unpermitted porch/addition structure on the NW portion of the rear porch. Searching city records through PRO (https://pro.tucsonaz.gov/address_search/) found no permit history for this structure. Either provide completed permit and inspection documentation, apply for and complete permit review and inspections for the structure or remove the PV modules from the unpermitted structure.
