2.COMMENT: Per UDC Section 6.6.2.I: The maximum height of a wall or fence within a perimeter yard shall be six feet; however, the wall or fence may be higher than six feet, but no higher than ten feet, if: (See Figure 6.6.1-A, Height of Wall or Fence within a Side or Rear Perimeter Yard .) Based on a proposed wall height of 6’-8” a Design Development Option (DDO) will need to be processed and approved to increase the height of a wall. 04/26/2023 Zoning Modifications - DDO REQUIRES RESUBMIT The Zoning Review Section has indicated that a Design Development Option (DDO) is required to exceed the maximum six-foot height limitation of a perimeter wall or fence. As such, a DDO application shall be submitted with your resubmittal under permit number TC-RES-0323-03428.

The DDO application and requirements may be found at: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/pdsd/forms/2019_DDO_for_Setback_and_Height_UDC.pdf. Ensure all Zoning Review Section comments are addressed prior to submittal of a DDO application. Additionally, provide structurally engineered drawings for the perimeter wall as walls above seven feet in height require a building permit.
