03/20/2023 | Historic | APPROVED | The property located at 523 E Mabel is a contributing resource to the Feldmans National Register Historic District. Constructed in the 1920s, the house was designed in the Spanish Eclectic style with flat roof and a parapet, stucco exterior, and a small gable roof front porch with clay tile. The proposed project would install solar panels on the roof. The production meter/AC disconnect/combiner box will all be located at the northeast corner of the house, limiting visibility. It is not clear if the panels will be below the height of the parapet. While there may be some visibility of the panels above the parapet, the work can be deemed consistent with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and the property will maintain its contributing status. | ||
