| 02/03/2026 | Residential Building - Standard | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | ACTIVITY NO. TC-RES-0126-00075 ADDRESS/PARCEL: (3452 E LINDEN ST TUCSON, AZ 85716) Submit your revised reports along with a response letter which states how all Building Review Section comments were addressed. The submitted documents were incomplete and a thorough plan review could not be performed. Please be aware, new comments may arise with the next review. Review will not proceed without the response letter. Should you have any questions about these comments, I can be reached at ian.gillaspie@tucsonaz.gov. COMMENTS: 1. Roof projections may extend into the 3-foot fire separation distance line between dwelling units without fire spread control. Show the common porch ceiling with not less than one-hour fire-resistive construction on the underside, R302.1 (City of Tucson Amended). Another option for roof structures placed within the 3-foot fire separation distance to the adjoining (neighboring) property line is to add a one-hour fire-resistive wall constructed parallel with the property line in compliance with IBC Table 721.1(2). This fire spread barrier is required from ground to roof and from end to end of the roof. https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/sharedassets/public/v/2/pdsd/documents/building-code/2024-international-residential-code-amendments.pdf 2. Provide detail showing how porch will be connecting with the main structure. Similar to the example on page 3 of the following (R106): https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/sharedassets/public/v/1/city-services/planning-development-services/documents/porch_sample.pdf 3. Provide beam sizing (R802.4.4). 4. Provide details on roofing material (R905). 5. Please resubmit. |

The indicated setback for the proposed porch appears to be ~1’ from the west property line measured from the column. Please clearly indicate the distance from the porch column to the property line. If the porch column is more than one foot from the property line, a Design Development Option (DDO) will be required. Please submit a DDO application under the Zoning Modification sub-record that has been created.
