This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC). >>> None of the previous comments were addressed! Please resubmit with the following corrections. Include a comment response letter with your submittal. 1. The addition of the metal carport to the scope of work requires additional construction documents. 2. The side of the carport is shown as 1’ 6” from the property line. The carport requires a 1-hr fire rated wall assembly along this side of the carport, from ground to the underside of the roof sheathing. Or move the structure out of the 3-foot fire separation zone. You cannot have an open structure this close to the property line, R302.1 (City of Tucson Amended): https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/sharedassets/public/v/1/pdsd/documents/building-code/2018_-_irc_amendments.pdf 3. The 20’x18’ pre-designed carport requires a complete plan set sealed by an Arizona registered Engineer. Provide plans with wind load calculations and foundation design sealed by an Arizona engineer for the pre-designed assembly, R106.1. Sealed plans are usually available from the manufacturer for pre-designed assemblies. 4. Building plans shall include, but may not be limited to, foundation plans, elevations and section details etc. Detail all connections of posts, rafters, truss’, ledger boards etc. 5. You need to resubmit the previous porch details and drawings from 5/11/23. 7073 S Lundy_Drive[11378]-combined_v1.pdf. This file had additional details and notes required for building safety approval of the poach designs. Separate the carport details and plans from the porch details/plans. 6. Remove the unrelated pages from the submittal. The architect drawings for Starr Pass are not part of this submittal. Contact Jeremy Hamblin with any questions: Jeremy.hamblin@tucsonaz.gov |
