Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC). 1. Provide elevation measurements for Next Upstream Manhole cover and Finished Floor Elevation. Provide Backwater valve protection as required. 2. Backwater valve protection: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/sharedassets/public/pdsd/documents/building-code/2018_-_irc_amendments.pdf Section P3008.1 Where required. Where the finish floor elevation is less than 12 inches above the elevation of the next upstream manhole cover in the sewer, a backwater valve shall be installed in the building drain or branch of the building drain serving that floor.
