Submit your revised drawings along with a detailed response letter, which states how all Building Review Section comments were addressed. The submitted documents were incomplete and a thorough plan review could not be performed. Please be aware, new comments may arise with the next review.
COMMENTS:
1. Thank You for submitting the Water Sterilization report, Epoxy Anchor memo, TJI sheets of 2 members. We have used these to result the conditions in your building permit.
2. The catalogue cut of the light fixture submitted does have an image of the light fixture. However, it is void of the lumen information as well as the kelvin temperature of the light source. Please provide this information from the product catalogue sheets.
3. Thank you for submitting a copy of a Development Plan Package Site Plan. We do see that you have pasted the lumen calculation for 18 lights (assuming they are the lights mentioned in item #1 above). However, please reflect in this plan the lights for the bicycle (Keynote 18 on the DP site plan) along with the lumens, kelvin temperature and the image of that particular light. If applicable, include the same information for the development entry light, entry sign lights that might be shining onto it, landscape lights, parking/site pole lights. Please do make sure that you identify/label all of these items on the site plan drawing and revise your lumens calculation that is now present on your site plan.
4. Below are the Outdoor Lighting Code requirements as a reminder:
a. 104.2 Permit submission requirements. The applicant for any permit required by any provision of the laws of this jurisdiction in connection with proposed work involving outdoor lighting fixtures shall submit (as part of the application for permit) evidence that the proposed work will comply with this code. The submission shall contain but shall not necessarily be limited to the following, all or part of which may be part or in addition to the information required elsewhere in the laws of this jurisdiction upon application for the required permit: 1. Plans indicating the location on the premises, and the type of illuminating devices, fixtures, lamps, supports, reflectors, and other devices, and a luminaire schedule as outlined in sub-section 104.2.1. 2. Description of the illuminating devices, fixtures, lamps, supports, reflectors, and other devices and the description may include, but is not limited to, catalog cut sheets by manufacturers and drawings (including sections where required).
b. 104.2.1 Lumen calculation on plans. There shall be documentation on the plans to demonstrate compliance with the lumen cap per Table 401.1, and which includes the following information: 1. Each exterior luminaire type with the lumens for that type, the quantity of each type and whether the luminaire is full cut-off or unshielded. 2. The total of full cut-off and unshielded lumens for the parcel. 3. A statement of the lighting area, the size of the permitted parcel, and the maximum allowed full cut-off and unshielded lumens.
c. 104.3 Lamp or fixture substitution. Should any outdoor light fixture or the type of light source herein be changed after the permit has been issued, a change request must be submitted to the design professional and Building Official for his or her approval, together with adequate information to assure compliance with this code, which must be received prior to substitution.
5. Please resubmit.
