Any structure placed within the 3-foot fire separation distance, from the line used to determine the fire separation distance, requires not less than one-hour fire-resistive construction for reducing fire spread across the line, R302.1(City of Tucson Amended). Fire rated materials are found in IBC Table 721.1(2), Items 15-1.1 to 16-1.3. No windows, doors or vents are allowed in the fire rated wall assembly. 2. Roof projections extending into the 3-foot fire separation distance require not less than one-hour fire-resistive construction on the underside, R302.1 (City of Tucson Amended). The fire protected overhang may not extend closer than 24” from the line used to determine the fire separation distance. 3. The minimum distance between structures, with no fire rated wall assembly, is 6’ and a maximum 1’ overhang. Outdoor lighting: 1. Show the location of all proposed outdoor lighting fixtures which ones are full cut-off (FCO) style 2. Provide an Outdoor Lighting Calculation including all exterior fixtures on the property for determining exterior lighting limits. Provide the manufacturer’s spec sheets for the lighting fixtures. 3. Show lamps with a maximum of 3500K color temperature, OLC 402.1. 4. Full Cut Off fixtures under an overhang or canopy are exempt from the calculation, OLC 4.2.1.
