| 06/10/2026 | Commercial Mechanical Standard | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | ACTIVITY NO. TC-COM-1225-02337 ADDRESS/PARCEL: 2526 E GRANT RD TUCSON, AZ 85716 Submit your revised drawings along with a detailed response letter, which states how all comments were addressed. Review will not proceed without the response letter. The submitted documents were incomplete and a thorough plan review could not be performed. Please be aware, new comments may arise with the next review. If you have any questions about these review comments, I can be reached at Sean.Severson@tucsonaz.gov COMMENTS: 1. The submitted heating and cooling load calculations indicate a total sensible cooling coil load of approximately 89.3 MBH, while the proposed design includes three 5-ton HVAC units with a combined sensible cooling capacity significantly exceeding the calculated load. Please provide additional justification demonstrating that the proposed equipment sizing complies with the intent of the load calculations or revise the equipment selection accordingly. | 06/06/2026 | Fire New Construction Standard | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | 1. This comment is in response to the previous fire comments. Your OL appears to have changed from over 100 to under 100. There are discrepancies with the OL 2. Please show the seating in the bar area. You only show a OL of 2 in the bar area. Show the seating type in the bar. It appears the bar has been miscalculated. 3. Sheet A1.1 "Relevant code restrictions" states 98 occupants in the building. The egress plan on the same sheet states patio assembly OL not included in building occupancy. Conflicting information. There needs to be an accurate OL for the building. You also used 98 to determine your number of exits and exiting width. 4. The OL for the patio will not be used to determine the fire protection requirements of 903 since the covering of the patio is not an extension of the roof of the building and therefore not included in the fire area (horizontal projection of the roof) and does not require egress through the building. john.vincent@tucsonaz.gov 5203495581 |
