This should include the analysis of the existing structure carrying this hood. ii. This should include the steel beam sizing that is called within the drawing. iii. Please submit the detail drawings by the same engineer. 1. Please submit detail drawings on the hood structural framing. 2. Please show the detail at the roof level. 2. ANSUL SYSTEM a. Please provide information on the ansul system and layout of the nozzles. 3. Please resubmit. Provide structural calculations and details to show that the Type I hood is supported from the building structure in accordance with Section 507.2.4, IMC 2018 (the hood hanging weight plus the weight of personnel working in or on the hood). Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2018. 2. Assuming that the existing grease ducts are being reused, provide the dimensions, construction, and fire-resistive duct wrap of the existing grease ducts. Reference”: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018. 3. Hood canopies shall extend at least 6” horizontally on all open sides beyond the edge of the top horizontal surface of the appliances under the hood. Note that the submitted hood canopy extends 48” from the back of the hood, not 62”. Reference: Section 507.4.1, IMC 2018. 4. Verify that adequate make-up air is being provided for the kitchen exhaust hood. Reference: Section 508.1 IMC 2018. |
