12/18/2025 Commercial Mechanical Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Revise the ventilation calculations, identifying Suite 111 as a beauty salon. Footnote b on Table 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018 states that mechanical exhaust is required for the beauty salon and no air from the beauty salon may be recirculated to any other space. Heat pump, HP-1, serves the entire suite so the entire suite is to be considered a beauty salon. Reference: Section 403.2.1 (3), IMC 2018.
2. Revise the heating/cooling load calculations as needed to address the effect of the increased ventilation load on HP-1.
3. Verify that revised floor plan (i.e. showing the new walls) is used as a basis for the revised HVAC floor plan. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.
12/18/2025 Commercial Plumbing Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Verify that revised floor plan (i.e. showing the new walls) is used as a basis for the revised plumbing floor plan. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.
2. The architect calls for the fire-damaged drinking fountain to be replaced with a point-of-use water dispenser. Revise the plumbing fixture specifications and the plumbing floor plan to reflect this change. Ensure that the installation of a permanently mounted disposable cup dispenser is included. The cup dispenser shall be located adjacent to the water dispenser with the dispensing end between 34” and 48” above the finished floor.
