COMMENTS:
1. LIGHT LEVEL AT WORK SURFACES
a. Work areas for this electrical capacitor manufacturer is a concern.
i. The Manufacturing Area does not show where these work surfaces are located.
ii. Please add the layout of this Manufacturing Area as far as where the work benches or work surfaces are located, the equipment location, etc.
iii. On your electrical drawings, please locate the light sources and provide the code compliant lumen levels for this Manufacturing Area.
1. Artificial light shall be provided that is adequate to provide an average illumination of 10 footcandles over the area of the room at a height of 30 inches above the floor level. IBC 1204.3
2. The means of egress illumination level shall be not less than 1 footcandle (11 lux) at the walking surface. Along exit access stairways, exit stairways and at their required landings, the illumination level shall not be less than 10 footcandles (108 lux) at the walking surface when the stairway is in use. IBC 1008.2.1
iv. On your electrical drawings, locate the manufacturing equipment and indicate the electrical power they will be requiring.

Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received.

Electrical Review:

Plans shall include (as necessary for scope of work), but may not be limited to items below:
1. Provide an electrical demo plan for any demo’ed electrical or appliances.
2. Show all wiring methods in detail for all new or modified branch circuit conductors and feeders. Conductor type and conduit size/type. Note wet use requirements. NEC arts;300 and 408.4.
3. Provide a panel schedules, showing the circuits that are being modified, added or removed or existing. NEC arts;300 and 408.4. Include panel bus rating and A.I.C. rating. IBC 107.1.
4. Provide a basic electrical floorplan showing the location of the new circuit.
5. Designate the circuit number on the electrical plans, that corresponds to the panel schedule, at the location of each existing, new or modified light fixture, receptacle, and equipment disconnect switch, NEC arts;300 and 408.4. IBC 107.1. Each electrical outlet should be labeled by panel and circuit number.

Additional comments may be forthcoming with complete electrical plans for the building and site.
