1. Provide a clear stamp and seal on the architectural drawings, the one provided is not legible. Include the license expiration date near the stamp.
2. Indicate on the drawings that this project does not include any façade modifications as noted in the development package or note that the façade work will be under a separate permit. Only the south yard renovation was provided.
3. Add to the list of applicable code on sheet A0 the City of Tucson/ Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code.as well as the 2018 International Fire Code.
4. Correct keynote 5 on sheet A2 to indicate guardrails are not required for landings LESS THAN 30” above grade.
5. Key note 8 on sheet A2 indicates a new 7 3/4“ thick concrete landing (max single step height per code) however the allowed height is 7” maximum. All accessible stairs shall have a uniform tread and risers. Risers shall be 4” minimum and 7” maximum in height. Treads shall be 11” minimum in depth. ICCI A117.1- 2009 504.2. In addition, the structural keynote 1 on sheet S2 indicates this slab is only to be 4” thick. Correct the note or clarify the height of the riser and depth of the slab and coordinate the drawings.

ELECTRICAL REVIEW COMMENTS

1. It appears that three existing emergency lighting wall packs are being removed as part of the electrical demolition plan. It is unclear if there are emergency lighting required for this area for the R-2 occupancy, and if any of the existing doors are required emergency egress. Clarify which doors are considered fire egress and provide illumination. Emergency lights are required at the exterior at the exit doors to illuminate the landings and stairways. 2018 IBC 1008.3.2 (2) and (5).
2. Provide a panel schedule for the panel that will contain the new lighting and receptacle circuits and include the location of the panel on the drawings.
3. Not on the drawings that the exterior GFIC outlets will be provided with an “in use” cover.


PLUMBING REVIEW COMMENTS:

1. Per the demolition keynote 14 and the drawing keynote 13 on sheet A2, the existing water faucet and valve assembly is being relocated. The new location was not found on the drawings. Provide plumbing drawings indicating the means and methods for the work as well as the new location.
2. The drawings keynote 41 on sheet A2 indicates new irrigation to be run per the owner’s design. Provide information on the irrigation system including the proposed locations on the drawing or indicate that this work will be done under a separate permit.
