STRUCTURAL REVIEW COMMENTS:
DENIED
1. Provide Geotechnical Report for the proposed building per International Building Code 2018, Section 1803.1.
2. The railing guards are to be designed for the loads provided in IBC 2018 Section 1607.8.1.
3. Structural steel, components and fasteners that are exposed are to be protected against corrosion in accordance with AISC 360 Section B.13 as indicated in IBC 2018 Section 2203.1.
4. Designer is to coordinate venting and drainage hole requirements for HSS tube members that are galvanized using the hot-dip galvanizing process. Provide for plugs as needed. AWS D-19.0 calls for welds on galvanized steel to be free of zinc. Field welds on galvanized parts requires the removal of the zinc coating in the area of weld. Provide zinc paint (approved by the galvanizer) and apply as required to the weld and steel area to provide protection.
1. Provide galvanized bolts on the galvanized framing connections.
Submit a response letter addressing these correction items and provide bubbles on the revisions to the drawings.


BUILDING REVIEW COMMENTS:
DENIED
1. General: The proposed Classroom and Virtual Training Room are placed onsite within close proximity to an existing building. It is not obvious how the fire separation is being addressed. (2018 IBC Table 602) If these buildings are being treated as one building, as allowed for by 2018 IBC Sec. 705.3 Exception #1. Please revise to provide allowable area calculations supporting the concept of one large building onsite. (2018 IBC Sec. 506.2)
2. Sheet A-403 / Detail 8/A-403: Revise to indicate that the leading 2” (two inches) of the tread shall have a visually contrasting color, per ICC/ANSI A117.1-2009 Sec. 504.5.1.

6). Specification manual & and or plumbing pages do not show the piping materials for the gas system interior & exterior. - IFGC 403.1
