Additionally, please submit complete copies of all permit documents (i.e. plans, calculations, reports, etc.) even if they have not been changed. Please note the submittal was incomplete and the plan review was conducted using the information presented. The subsequent review could generate more comments after original comments have been addressed. 1. Please provide an architectural site plan showing the accessible exterior routes. At least one accessible route within the site shall be provided from public transportation stops, accessible parking, accessible passenger loading zones, and public streets or sidewalks to the accessible building entrance served. IBC 107.2.1 & IBC 1104.1 2. 2. A. Please show Accessible parking ant the rear of the space. 2. Please show a demolition/existing floor plan. IBC 107.2.1 For example are the bathrooms existing or new? 3. Please note or otherwise indicate the exterior doors are equipped with panic hardware. IBC 1010.1.10 4.. Please amend the plans to show the following Exit Discharge information A. The path(s) of exit discharge is shown to a public way or a safe dispersal area. IBC 107.2.3, 1028.5 F. A photometric plan or other method of showing 1 footcandle of normal power illumination at the walking surface along the path(s) of exit discharge, while the building is occupied. IBC 1008.2.1, IBC 1008.2.3 5. IEBC 305.7 requires that accessibility be provided to the altered spaces. Where the existing path of travel elements, which entails a primary entrance, a primary path of travel, sanitary facilities serving the area, a drinking fountain, and signs. If these items are in full compliance with the current code, provide a statement indicating this on the cover sheet of the drawings. Otherwise, accessibility upgrades shall be required in accordance with IEBC.305.7. A. If the cost of providing or upgrading the items above to be accessible is disproportionate to the cost of construction (exceeds 20% of the cost of construction not including accessibility upgrades), please provide information to verify construction costs. If this exemption is taken, accessibility upgrades equaling 20% of the cost of the project shall be made. 6. Please amend the plans to indicate that at least 60% of the public entrances are accessible IBC 1105.1For example both doors are required to be accessible 7. Please amend the plans to show the locations of the required accessible elements shall be identified by the International Symbol of Accessibility at the following locations.
