11/27/2024 Historic REQUIRES RESUBMIT This was reviewed by West University Historic Zone Advisory Board (WUHZAB) on 5/21/2024. WUHZAB provided comments on the design proposal to the applicant. Notably: The treatment proposed are perforated corrugated metal sheets. General discussion ensued and proposed plans did not raise any major concerns on the part of the board. Use of steel versus wood was one comment noted. Based on comments from WUHAZAB applicant may proceed to design revisions in readiness for permit submittal.
Please submit all the same materials under the Historic sub-record. Once you log into TDC Online, go to the My Work tab, and then go to Plans (not Permits). Under Plans there should be the Historic sub-record which I have opened under the TC -permit number, and this is where the same materials are submitted. Once submitted the system will generate an SD #. Staff will then contact you about the next steps including invoicing and payment of review fee. Once fee are paid, a minor review will be scheduled.

In regards to the alternative trench drain in parking surface called out on sheet 9 of the plans: Per UDC Article 3.3.3.G.2.c A site plan (Development Package) is required for the following types of development: Existing development undergoing a change of use, building structure additions, and/or a reconfiguration of an area outside a building. A development package (DP) meeting the requirements of Administrative Manual (AM) 2-06 must be submitted and approved prior to approval of this building plan. COMMENTS: the following comments are relative to an application for Architectural Documentation prior to demolition of historic buildings (UDC 3.12.1).

The Pima County Assessor’s effective construction date for your building or structure is 1957.
Buildings, portions of buildings or structures that are 50 years of age or older must be architecturally documented prior to demolition. Documentation will be reviewed and approved by the Historic Preservation Office before a permit is issued.
