Below are comments on the required modification first submittal for COT ID# 325 at 4678 East Broadway Boulevard (TC-COM-1123-02735)

1. In aerial photograph underlay site plan, add or make more legible the following dimensions: east property line; south property line; and billboard footprint length.

2. In aerial photograph underlay site plan, identify the second billboard on the parcel, add its billboard footprint with dimensions, and add dimensions of the billboard footprint to property lines.

3. In aerial photograph underlay site plan, identify and add small footprint boxes for the two customer-owned utility poles that service the billboard and that are located along the south property line.

4. In Title Block, revise total number of sheets, if necessary.

1. In 3rd paragraph of Scope of Work, specify the number of south-end ledgers to be removed and clarify the lengths of upper inner south-end and north-end catwalks to be removed and to remain.

2. In the 5th paragraph of Scope of Work, indicate the number per connection and total number of the 3/8” carriage bolts to be added.

3. In the 6th paragraph of Scope of Work, relocate the spacers to the 5th paragraph of Scope of Work, as spacer installation precedes or is simultaneous with stringer installation.

4. In the 6th paragraph of Scope of Work, indicate the number per connection and total number of the A307 bolts to be added.

5. After the 6th paragraph of Scope of Work, insert a paragraph providing for the addition of poster panel wood trim, consistent with that shown in New West Sign Face Elevation.

6. In 7th paragraph of Scope of Work, clarify that south-end light fixture support arm is not to be replaced or reinstalled (in addition to the south-end light fixture) and add “(see Shet 4 of 4 for further detail” or similar) to the end of 2nd sentence.

7. In the 1st paragraph of 1st boxed note, delete (E), (F), (G), and (O) and add “and the proposed modifications are allowed by Paragraph 7 and Exhibit 5 of the Stipulation” (the only proposed work governed by the Exhibit 9, Section 2 is for the replacement of the east face backrail stringer).

8. In the 3rd paragraph of 1st boxed note, the modification deadline date appears to be incorrect; revise as necessary.

9. The 6th boxed note refers to special inspection required for A325 bolts, but there does not appear to be any reference to A325 bolts in the Scope of Work or elsewhere in the plan set; either specify the A325 bolt replacements or additions on the plan set or delete this boxed note.

10. In Existing Side View, revise the reference to the removal of the three upright I-beams for the west face from “west-end” to “south-end”.

11. In New Side View, add the missing the 4”x6”x1” lower spacers.

12. In New West Sign Face Elevation, depict both end rails and crossover catwalks and indicate as existing and to remain.

13. Add plan view detail that shows the proposed dimensions from the northernmost west face upright centerline to the north edge of the finished face panel and from the centerline of the third west face upright from the north to the south edge of the finished face panel.

14. Above Title Block, assure that a delta-1 is added that identifies the date of the comments that the delta 1 revisions on the plan sheet are responding to.

15. In Title Block, revise total number of sheets if necessary.

1. Delete light fixture, lamp, and shield details, as they are duplicative with those shown on the electrical plan sheet (Sheet 4 of 4); the remaining two details may optionally be relocated to Sheet 2 if total number of sheets are renumbered as applicable.

2. In New Wood Section Detail, revise title so as to clarify that all of the panels on the west face are to be removed and not be replaced or reinstalled.

3. Above Title Block, assure that a delta-1 is added that identifies the date of the comments that the delta 1 revisions on the plan sheet are responding to.

1. Delete 1st paragraph of 1st boxed note below Scope of Work, as the proposed work is only permissible in order to comply with the modification requirement specified in the 3rd paragraph.

2. In 3rd paragraph of 1st boxed note below Scope of Work, delete “not” (which appears to be an inadvertent error).

3. In 3rd paragraph of 1st boxed note below Scope of Work, the modification date does not appear to match that of the Stipulation; revise as necessary.

4. After 4th boxed note below Scope of Work, insert boxed note with standard language: “Excess fixtures, conduit, connectors, wiring or breakers no longer being used shall be removed”.

5. Add boxed note “Special inspection required prior to final inspection for installation of the light fixture, shield, gaskets, and associated parts, per Subparagraphs 8.3 of the Stipulation. Inspector to verify: a) that the three light fixture foam gaskets are properly installed as specified in Subparagraph 8.3.5; b) that the light fixture and attached shield assembly is installed in a horizontal position so that no light is emitted above the horizontal plane; c) that no light is emitted from any of the three light fixture gaskets; and d) the manufacturer model numbers for the light fixture and lamp as installed.

6. Add electrical plan that depicts the remote meter, the conduit and wiring attached to the building, the two customer-owned utility poles and associated OH wiring, and the 206 panel attached to the billboard structure (the plan shown under Partial Vicinity Map on Sheet 3 of T10EL01277 may be used for this purpose with necessary revisions).

7. Provide photometric data for the 250-watt metal halide light fixture installation (see, e.g., T10EL01277, Sheet 4 for format).

8. In Panel Schedule, revise v-a for Circuit #3 to reflect the load for the single 250-watt light fixture and adjust v-a totals accordingly.

9. In Panel Schedule, revise v-a for Circuit #2 to more accurately reflect the timer load and adjust v-a totals accordingly (6 v-a has been used in previous submittals).

10. Above Title Block, assure that a delta-1 is added that identifies the date of the comments that the delta 1 revisions on the plan sheet are responding to.

11. In Title Block, revise total number of sheets if necessary.
