04/11/2024 | Commercial Electrical | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | The previous plan review comments are not addressed completely or incorrect lumen calculations. Previous comment #4; ‘4 The site lighting plans must show all lumen calculations and any other information as requested per previous review comments #1(c), #2, #3, #4, #5, #7, Ref; 2018 IBC sections 107.2.1, 2017 NEC, 2012 City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC)’ 1 The Lumen cap value utilized in the lumen calculations (350,000) (Lighting Area E3, Option 1) may not be correct. This ‘Option’ is for ‘Mostly LPS (low pressure sodium) type lighting. This could not be verified per the lighting shown in the site lighting plans. Please carefully examine the table 401.1, and determine the most accurate Lighting area and Option as this will greatly affect the lumen calculations. If both Full Cut-Off and Unshielded lighting is utilized it seems Lighting Area E3, Option 3 would be appropriate, (175,000) total shielded and unshielded. Table 401.1, unless it can be verified and documented that (LPS) low pressure sodium lighting is existing and incorporated into the total lighting on site. Also identify which luminaires are new and which are existing to remain. 2 Please provide a site lighting plan showing all exterior luminaire on the parcel without the Photometric numbers, as the Photometric numbers overlap the identification marks of the luminaires. Because of this the plan reviewer cannot verify the exact amount and type of luminaire in order to correlate with the lumen calculations and Lighting Schedule. 3 The Lighting Fixture schedule ‘L’ shown on plan sheet ‘A001’ shows 18 exterior luminaires. How does this correlate with the site lighting plan ‘E004’ ? The identifying marks or numbers are not shown in the electrical site lighting plan or lumen calculations. 4 Ref; Plan Sheet ‘E003’. Keyed Note #1 refers to Plan Sheet ‘E-501’ “FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION”. Could not locate this Plan Sheet in the plan set. Please include this information as stated and verify that the additional lighting load is within the capacity of this Lighting Control Panel and power source. Please be advised. It may be advantageous to obtain the services of an Arizona registrant who has demonstrated proficiency through registration, education, technical knowledge, or experience to perform such work. Such a person can be found in the Pima County list of Special Inspectors.
