| 09/12/2023 | Commercial Electrical | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | Please address the electrical plan review comments and provide a written response. The previous electrical plan review comments are not addressed. The Commercial Electrical Plan Reviewer is not confused as stated in the submitted letter to Daniel Fousse from Chad Buccine.. The comment response simply states that the existing grounding electrode system as shown in the line diagram (Plan sheet E-601.00), is incorrectly installed, or not a NEC Code compliant system (as Shown). The NEC Code references re-enforces this. Perhaps the project site should be re-visited to verify that the line diagram reflects the actual service grounding system. If the Grounding Electrode System for the building (service) is not installed per Code, then the PV grounding conductor is not installed per Code. NEC 690.47 (A) States that the PV grounding system be connected to the building grounding electrode system. NEC art 250 requires the building grounding electrode system to be connected at any accessible point from the load end of the overhead service conductors, service drop, underground service conductors, or service lateral to, including the terminal or bus to which the grounded service conductor is connected at the service disconnecting means, NEC 240.24.
