IBC 302.1 For example, this building appears to be primarily a M occupancy 2. Please state in the code analysis all the occupancy classifications the building contains. IBC 302.1 3. Buildings with more than one occupancy classification identify the mixed occupancy methodology as either accessory, nonseparated, separated, or a stated combination of types. IBC 508.1 A. Nonseparated occupancies allowable building area, building height, and number of stories is the most restrictive of any of the nonseparated occupancies. IBC 508.3.2 B. The separated occupancy’s equation of summed ratios for each story is shown with the values used and each story does not exceed 1. IBC 508.4.2 4. Please update the egress capacity factor to use .20 for calculating door with or update the code analysis to add that an emergency voice/alarm communication system in accordance with Section 907.5.2.2. has been installed. IBC 1005.3.2 Exception #1 5. Provide illumination for the means of egress, including the exit discharge per IBC 1008. Show compliance with the following: A. The means of egress shall be illuminated at all times the building space is occupied. B. The means of egress illumination level shall not be less than 1 foot-candle at the walking surface. C. The means of egress illumination shall be supplied by backup power (consisting of storage batteries, unit equipment, or an on-site generator) for a duration of not less than 90 minutes. IBC 1008.3 6. Show how the air admittance valve located within the wall behind the water fountain (Detail 201/P1.0) will be provided with adequate air to allow the valve to operate properly.
