Please provide a sense as to what products are sold in this grocery store. a. Provide a list of products. b. Which of the above products requires refrigerators and/or freezers. 1. On the floor plan locate/identify the existing electrical receptacle outlets. 2. Identify the electrical receptacle outlets that are to be used by equipment such as refrigerator, etc. c. Are there any canister products sold such as canister of propane, etc. 2. CASHIER COUNTER a. Please locate/label the cashier counter on the floor plan. a. Indicate on the plan the electrical power and/or communication lines. b. Provide drawings illustrating the following: a. The top work surfaces shall be 28 inches min & 34 inches max above the floor per ICC A117.1 sec 902.4. b. Sec 306.3.3 Knee clearance shall be 11 inches min in depth at 9 inches above the floor, and 8 inches min in depth at 27 inches above the floor. c. Sec 306.2.4 Additional toe clearance space extending greater than 6 inches beyond the available knee clearance at 9 inches above the floor. d. Sec 306.3 Knee clearance shall be 30 inches min in width. e. 904.3.2 Parallel approach, the counter surface 36 inches min length. f. 904.3.3 Forward approach, the counter surface 30 inches min length. 3. RESTROOM a. Customers would be passing through the office in order to get to the restroom? b. Clearance width around a water closet shall be 60 inches minimum in width, measured perpendicular from the sidewall per ICC A117.1 sec 604.3.1 a. 604.3.2 Clearance depth around the water closet shall be 56 inches minimum in depth, measured perpendicular from the rear wall. b. 604.3.3 The clearance overlap around the water closet shall be permitted to overlap the water closet, associated grab bars, paper dispensers, sanitary napkin receptacles, coat hooks, shelves, accessible routes, clear floor space at other fixtures and the turning space. c. No other fixtures or obstructions shall be within the required water closet clearance such as the lavatory. FIGURE 604.3 4. FRONT DOOR a. Indicate on the floor plan the clear opening of the front door. b. Indicate on the floor plan the threshold height. a. NOTE: This must comply to ICC A117.1 for accessibility. 5. FEFLECTED CEILING PLAN, please provide with the following in mind. a. Footcandle lighting requirement for products being purchased are required. a. Pima County Code:PCC 6-303.11 Intensity. 1. The light intensity shall be: (A) At least 108 lux (10 foot candles) at a distance of 75 cm (30 inches) above the floor. b. The light intensity shall be: (B) At least 215 lux (20 foot candles): At a surface where FOOD is provided for CONSUMER or where fresh produce or PACKAGED FOODS are sold or offered for consumption. 1. Inside EQUIPMENT such as reach-in and under-counter refrigerators; and 2. At a distance of 75 cm (30 inches) above the floor in areas used for handwashing, WAREWASHING, and EQUIPMENT and UTENSIL storage, and in toilet rooms c. The light intensity shall be: (C)At least 540 lux (50 foot candles) at a surface where EMPLOYEE is working with FOOD or working with UTENSILS or EQUIPMENT such as knives, slicers, grinders, or saws where EMPLOYEE safety is a factor. 6. ILLUMINATION, ensure to illustrate the following on the reflected ceiling plan. a. Means of egress illumination level (this is required, please correct the code analysis) shall be not less than 1 footcandle (11 lux) at the walking surface. IBC 1008.2.1 b. 1008.2.3 Illumination shall be provided along the path of travel for the exit discharge from each exit to the public way. c. Locate/label the lighted exit sign (this is required, please correct the code analysis) & emergency light with back-up power as well as the fire extinguisher on your plan. Please locate/identify/label those equipment including the Lighted Exit Sign(s) w/battery backup, Emergency Light(s) w/ battery backup, Fire/Audible/Smoke Alarms if applicable, Fire Extinguisher on your plan (to be inspected by Tucson Fire Department). d. Emergency Lights IBC 1008.3.1 The emergency power system shall provide power for a duration of not less than 90 minutes and shall consist of storage batteries, unit equipment or an on-site generator. The installation of the emergency power system shall be in accordance with Section 2702. e. NOTE: 1008.2.4 The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premises’ electrical supply. 7. FLOOR PLAN LAYOUT a. Show all the displays, racks, equipment on the floor plan. b. This will confirm the actual egress route shown on the Egress Plan. 8. DRINKING FOUNTAIN – City of Tucson Policy (amendment) a. The water dispenser must be listed and labeled in accordance with the Code. b. The water dispenser must be connected to a permanent supply of potable water. c. The water supply must be indicated on the plans and installed per code. d. A clear floor space shall be provided for the cooler in compliance with chapter 6 of ICC A117.1. e. A permanently mounted disposable cup dispenser shall be installed adjacent to the cooler with the dispensing end between 34" and 48" above finish floor and show the clear floor space complying to chapter 3 ICC A117.1 section 602.4. 9. SERVICE SINK a. The sink shown in the breakroom does not qualify as a mop sink. b. Please install the proper service/mop sink. 10. Please resubmit. |
