1. Please amend the plans to show compliance with IEBC 305.7. This code section requires that accessibility be provided to the altered spaces. Where the existing path of travel elements, which entails a primary entrance, a primary path of travel, sanitary facilities serving the area, a drinking fountain, and signs.
A. For example, it doesn’t appear the stage is accessible, provide amend the plans to provide accessible access to the stage. IBC 1103.1

If the cost of providing or upgrading the items above to be accessible is disproportionate to the cost of construction (exceeds 20% of the cost of construction not including accessibility upgrades), please provide information to verify construction costs. If this exemption is taken, accessibility upgrades equaling 20% of the cost of the project shall be made.

10/27/2025 Commercial Mechanical Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT Provide information on the sequence of operation for the restroom exhaust fan (i.e., how is the fan controlled?). Reference: Section 403.2.1 (4), IMC 2018.
10/27/2025 Commercial Plumbing Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Show the return piping for the recirculated hot water for the water heater on the plans and detail. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.
2. Provide third-party listing and material standards for all plumbing fixtures. Reference: Sections 303.4 and 402, IPC 2018
3. Provide shower valves that comply with the requirements of Section 412.3, IPC 2018.
4. Provide tempered water for the restroom lavatory using an approved device conforming to ASSE 1070. Reference: Sections 419.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2018.
5. Provide a metering faucet for the lavatory, dispensing a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle. Verify that the faucet cycle will last for at least 10 seconds. Reference: Section 419.6, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-09.
6. If the shower does not have a prefabricated receptor, provide details to show that the construction of the receptor complies with the requirements of Section 421.5, IPC 2018.
7. Revise the design of the hot water supply to the restroom lavatory so that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the public lavatory complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018 (i.e. 24” maximum distance for ½” pipe).
