1. Accessible work surfaces.
a. Cashier Counter
i. Please provide drawings illustrating item ii below.
ii. The tops of work surfaces shall be 28 inches min & 34 inches max above the floor per ICC A117.1 sec 902.4.Sec 306.3.3 Knee clearance shall be 11 inches min in depth at 9 inches above the floor, and 8 inches min in depth at 27 inches above the floor.
Sec 306.2.4 Additional toe clearance space extending greater than 6 inches beyond the available knee clearance at 9 inches above the floor.
Sec 306.3 Knee clearance shall be 30 inches min in width.
904.3.2 Parallel approach, the counter surface 36 inches min length.
904.3.3 Forward approach, the counter surface 30 inches min length.
2. Locate/label on the drawings the following:
a. Lighted Exit sign with battery backup.
b. Emergency lights with battery backup.
c. Sign: DOOR TO REMAIN OPEN WHILE BUSINESS IN OPEN
d. Direction to Restroom Sign: Directional signage indicating the route to the required public toilet facilities shall be posted in a lobby, corridor, aisle or similar space, such that the sign can be readily seen from the main entrance to the building or tenant space. IBC 2902.4.1
e. Water Fountain
i. Should this be substituted, per City of Tucson directive, it must be connected to a continuous source of water and cup holder be installed adjacent to unit.
3. Submit an access agreement between tenants that is legally binding document that is notarized to cover the following:
a. Other tenant has access to;
i. Restroom
ii. Stock Room
iii. Office/Storage
iv. Corridor
v. Back exit door

2. The use of a point-of-use water dispenser in lieu of a drinking fountain requires the installation of a permanently mounted disposable cup dispenser. The cup dispenser shall be located adjacent to the water dispenser with the dispensing end between 34” and 48” above the finished floor.
