Additionally, please submit complete copies of all permit documents (i.e. plans, calculations, reports, etc.) even if they have not been changed.
1. Please provide an existing/demolition floor plan to verify the overall scope of demolition work that is proposed. IBC 107.2.1
2. Please amend plans to provide a reflected ceiling plan including ceiling finish elevations. IBC 107.2.1
3. Please amend wall details plans to note or otherwise indicate the method of fastening and bracing new walls at the floor. Additionally, provide a wall type detail for each new wall to include, but not be limited to, interior wall coverings and finishes. IBC 107.2.1
A. Further, related if applicable, please provide engineering or metal stud table to show how unbraced Interior walls and partitions that exceed 6 feet in height, including finish materials, shall have adequate strength and stiffness to resist the loads to which they are subjected but not less than a horizontal load of 5 psf. IBC 1607.15.
4. Please amend plans to indicate if this building contains more than one occupancy classification and if so, identify the mixed occupancy methodology as nonseparated, separated. IBC 508.1
5. Related to the above comment, please indicate the occupancy group of the adjacent tenant and if separated, indicate the fire-resistive rating of the fire barrier. IBC 508.4
6. Please amend plans to include an interior finish schedule to specify the classification for fire and smoke. Please include floors, walls and ceilings. IBC 803.1, IBC 804.1
7. Please amend plans to provide accessible details and enlarged drawings for the accessible changing room. Please provide clear floor space (305), coat hooks, fitting-room bench configuration allowing for transfer (803.4) and show bench dimensions (903). Even though the bench is to be supplied by the tenant the plans need to indicate a code compliant bench. Further, the C of O cannot be issued until the bench is in place.
