GENERAL - UPDATES: For project updates, please submit sheets with all changes clearly marked in revision clouds. Please provide a written response to each comment; updates without a clear response to all comments may not be reviewed. If you have any questions regarding the comments, you may contact me directly. Updates may result in additional comments. 2. GENERAL - DEFERRED SUBMITTALS: You have requested a deferred submittal for the exterior metal studs, steel framed stairs, handrails and guardrails. Please be advised that we will place an Administrative Hold on the Certificate of Occupancy pending the submittal of the deferred structural drawings as a REVISION. All Revision fees will apply. 3. S001 - GEOTECHNICAL REPORT: Please review the Structural General Notes, Design Parameters, Foundation Note E. Per the submitted geotechnical report by Terracon, for an allowable bearing pressure of 3,250 psf, shallow foundations require a minimum embedment depth of 24 inches below finished grade (Report #63225123, Pg. 13). 4. S101 - MISSING INFORMATION: Please provide minimum reinforcing information for the thickened slab elements below the prefabricated steel stairs (Typical two locations). 5. S102 - MISSING INFORMATION: Plan callouts specify the slab-on-grade thickness and reinforcement at typical site structures not integral to the building. Please provide minimum reinforcing information for the thickened slab edges surrounding the Transfer Pad, Vaporizer & Tank Pad and dumpster enclosures. Reference Details 4 & 5/S205 for additional information. 6. S202 - MISSING INFORMATION: Detail 1/S202 shows a typical CMU Wall reinforcing diagram. The detail does not show any bracing at the top of wall. If wall is intended to be cantilevered with no bracing, please provide a maximum height dimension for which the wall has been designed. In addition, please specify the typical CMU wall reinforcement or provide a CMU wall schedule. 7. S203 - STEEL CONNECTIONS: Please confirm the design intent for steel-to-steel connections shown in Details 6 & 8/S203. Double angle clips appear to brace the HSS elevator guide rails, but no welding or bolts have been called out to show connection of angles to the rails or the roof beams above. Note that the final connection design will determine if guide rails are subjected to gravity loads from the roof beams above. Please design and detail accordingly. 8. S205 - CMU REINFORCEMENT: Please confirm the design intent for the CMU wall reinforcement shown in Details 1 & 2/S205. The details appear to show two curtains of reinforcement, installed at each face of wall, while the callouts specify a single vertical bar at 32"oc. If two curtains of reinforcement are required, please revise the callouts accordingly. 9. S403 - BEAM SUPPORT: Please confirm how the HSS12x6 beams (B/Beam = 111'-4") is being supported in Details 6 & 7/S403. The 2nd Floor Framing Plan, S301, and details show these beams out-of-plane with the HSS columns and several feet below the stub beam outriggers. 10. S404 - MISSING INFORMATION: Please provide a minimum weld size for the connection of stub columns to the supporting wide-flange beams in Details 6 & 7/S404. These connections do not fall under the typical connection guidelines specified in the Structural General Notes. 11. S406 - MISSING INFORMATION: Please provide a minimum weld size for the connections of the diagonal sway brace in Detail 2/S406. This connection does not fall under the typical connection guidelines specified in the Structural General Notes.
