1. Provide a grounding electrode system at the Carport Structures, and Building(s) with the rooftop arrays, also the 500KVA Transformers as required per NEC art 250.30, 250.32, 250.50, 690.47.

2. Provide grounding details for the Carport Array Racking, Rooftop Racking, and steel structures. Provide compliance with NEC art 690.43.

3. The 3-line electrical drawings show transformers #1, #2, #3, output conductors as #6 AWG protected with 100 amp fuses. The MV cable specifications submitted do not include data for the #6 AWG cable. Please clarify.

4. Ref; NEC 240.4. Justify the 100 amp fuse rating to protect the #6AWG copper MV conductors as shown (per the AC WIRE CALCULATION tables) Between the 500KVA transformers and the AC Utility Disconnect #10.

5.Provide data per the manufacturer of the MV cable ampacity rating of the #6AWG MV, and verify also per NEC art 310.60 Tables. The MV cable specifications submitted start with #4AWG (Southwire) and #1AWG (CME), #6AWG data not shown. Please clarify.

6.. Which MV cable is being utilized for this project, Southwire? Or CME manufacturer? Please clarify.

7. Provide more detailed information for the load side Bus Tap. The 3-line diagram makes reference to NEC art 705.12(B).

7(a) Where exactly is the Tap to be connected to the Bus in relation to the Main Switch and other end of the Bus load termination(s) in the enclosure?

7(b) NEC art 705.12(B) states the PV Interconnection shall comply with 705.12(B)(1) through (B)(5)… Provide the data and (Calculations) and provide compliance with 705.12(B)(2)(2), for Taps, and also (B)(2)(3) for Busbars.

7. Show in detail on the plan documents how the PV Interconnection to the 5KV rated switchgear bus is to be performed, including hardware and 5KV rated termination component(s). Also provide a statement in writing on a letterhead signed by a person qualified and authority, from the manufacturer of the switchgear stating that the load side Bus Tap to be performed at the specified location on the switchgear Bus, utilizing the components specified, will in no way compromise the performance and listing of the switchgear. Please include the serial and model numbers and nameplate data of the equipment utilized. NEC art 110.3(A)(B)(C), 230.66, 230.200.

The option to the above would be to provide for a field evaluation and re-certification for the listing of the equipment performed by a NRTL agency after the Bus Tap is completed. This will maintain the listing of the equipment as required per NEC art 110.3, 230.66, 230.200.

COMMENTS: the following comments are relative to an application for Historic Review (UDC 5.8.8).

Please resubmit revised drawings and any redlined plans along with a detailed response letter, which states how all Zoning Review Section comments were addressed.

This site is located in the MH-1 zone (UDC 4.7.10). A Mobile Home Park is a permitted use in the zone (UDC Table 4.8-2).

1. Per UDC Article 3.3.3.G.2.c A site plan (Development Package) is required for the following types of development: Existing development undergoing a change of use, building structure additions, and/or a reconfiguration of an area outside a building. A development package (DP) meeting the requirements of the Checklist for Minor Changes to Commercial/Industrial Sites is required to be submitted and approved. The DP is a separate submittal from the building plans.
