Reference: Sections 107.1 and 107.2.1, IBC 2024.
2. The proposed electric deck-type oven is listed and labeled in accordance with UL 197 for reduced grease emissions (less than 5 mg/cubic meter) and no visible smoke emissions. Either a Type II hood or the oven manufacturer’s direct ventilation system will be required to exhaust the ambient heat and steam generated by the oven. Reference: Sections 507.1 and 507.3, IMC 2024.
