The submitted documents were incomplete and a thorough plan review could not be performed. Please be aware, new comments may arise with the next review. Should the above not followed, it may delay your approval. Additionally, please submit complete copies of all permit documents (i.e. plans, calculations, reports, etc.) even if they have not been changed. COMMENTS: 1. The City does not have a record of the change from Great Room to Bedroom #1 and Bedroom #2 and Hallway. a. This is further emphasized by the previously approved Fire Sprinkler layout. i. There is no fire sprinkler head where Bedroom #2 is located. b. Should you have a Building Permit for this change, please submit a copy of the permit and the approved drawings. c. Otherwise, please submit drawings to include the changes that were made. i. Submit the Architectural detail drawings, Mechanical, Electrical. ii. Confirm that the windows do have the required clear opening of 20 inches horizontally and 24 inches vertically as well as the height from finish floor to window sill is code compliant. iii. Indicate on the plan the clear opening of the doors. iv. You will have to submit for a new fire sprinkler layout to Tucson Fire Department for the additional fire sprinkler head in Bedroom #2 and have them do an inspection. 2. 1. Please amend the plans to show the accessible bathroom as required for Group R-4, Condition 1, at least one of the sleeping units shall be an Accessible unit. 1107.6.4.1 Accessible units. ❖ The requirement for one sleeping unit and its associated facilities (e.g., bathrooms) to meet Accessible unit criteria is consistent with Group I-1, Condition 1 requirements. All common rooms are required to be fully accessible (see Section 1107.3). Section 1002 of ICC A117.1 provides the technical criteria for Accessible sleeping units. 2. Where an alteration affects the accessibility to, or contains an area of primary function, the route to the primary function area shall be accessible. The accessible route to the primary function area shall include toilet facilities and drinking fountains serving the area of primary function. IEBC 305.7 a. Show the clear for space at water closet making sure that no other plumbing fixture such as the lavatory is not infringing into the water closet clear floor area. b.
