SELECT AND ENUMERATE THE APPLICABLE CODES FOR THIS PROJECT ONTO THE COVER SHEET. b. Please access the City of Tucson webpage containing the list of adopted codes at tucsonaz.gov/Departments/Planning-Development-Services/Codes/Building-Codes?transfer=6759027f-91f6-4a80-80ef-82a95a5cc234 c. Ensure to include the Accessible and Usable Building Code. 2. SHEET A-1 PROJECT SCOPE a. Alteration is present on this permit application for Plumbing. b. New Water Dispenser is required. c. NEW WATER LINE FOR WATER DISPENSER is required. d. NEW WASTE LINE FOR WATER DISPENSER is required. e. note: WASH BASIN WAS NOT IN THE PREVIOUSLY APPROVED PERMIT DRAWINGS, therefore as discussed previously it will be considered as new work within this current permit. This would have been built without a permit. Please show this on the drawing as new. SHOW THE WATER LINE RUN, THE WASTE LINE RUN, ETC ON THE DRAWING. f. note: AS DISCUSSED PREVIOUSLY, THE WATER HEATER WAS NOT IN THE PREVIOUSLY APPROVED PERMIT, this would have been installed without a permit….. therefore as discussed previously it will be considered as new work within this current permit. Please indicate this as new within this permit. SHOW THE hot and cold WATER LINE RUN ON THE DRAWING. 3. SHEET A-1 OCCUPANCY TABULATION a. Please provide the total occupancy load for this space. b. Corridor is exempt from this calculation. Please remove this entry. c. You are correct, under 100 occupants for Mercantile Use is exempt from separate toilet facilities per IBC 2902.2 exception #3. d. However, the Occupancy Classification you indicated is B (Business). e. Please correct this entry by using IBC 2902.2 exception #4 Separate toilet facilities shall not be required in business occupancies in which the maximum occupant load is 25 or fewer. 4. ARIZONA LICENSED ARCHITECT a. As previously discussed, and as mentioned in your emails, you have hired an Architect licensed in Arizona. b. All Commercial projects require seal/signature/date signed on all drawings and documents submitted related to this project. Please ensure that the submitted documents comply to this requirement. c. The submitted drawings do not bear the seal of the Architects. Please affix the seal on every sheet. 5. WATER DISPENSER a. Where the Building and Plumbing Codes require a drinking fountain, the City of Tucson will accept point of use water dispenser in lieu of the classically recognized drinking fountain. b. The water dispenser must be listed and labeled in accordance with the Code. c. The water dispenser must be connected to a permanent supply of potable water. d. The water supply must be indicated on the plans and installed per code. e. A clear floor space shall be provided for the cooler in compliance with chapter 6 of ICC A117.1. f. A permanently mounted disposable cup dispenser shall be installed adjacent to the cooler with the dispensing end between 34" and 48" above finish floor and show the clear floor space complying to chapter 3 ICC A117.1 section 602.4. g. NOTE: waste line shall also be necessary to be connected to this drinking fountain h. Please correct this in your drawing. 6. RECEPTION COUNTERS a. The tops of work surfaces shall be 28 inches min & 34 inches max above the floor per ICC A117.1 sec 902.4. b. Sec 306.3.3 Knee clearance shall be 11 inches min in depth at 9 inches above the floor, and 8 inches min in depth at 27 inches above the floor. c. Sec 306.2.4 Additional toe clearance space extending greater than 6 inches beyond the available knee clearance at 9 inches above the floor. d. Sec 306.3 Knee clearance shall be 30 inches min in width. e. 904.3.2 Parallel approach, the counter surface 36 inches min length. f. 904.3.3 Forward approach, the counter surface 30 inches min length. g. PLEASE ILLUSTRATE ALL OF THE ABOVE by providing a DRAWING. 7. RESTROOMS a. Please label restrooms Unisex. b. Please label the Accessible restroom and label the grab bars. c. Indicate the required Restroom Signs on the drawing. d. Install sign at the reception area indicating the location of the restrooms per IBC 2902.4 Signage. Point in the plan where this is to be installed. 8. Please resubmit. |

COMMENT: Per https://www.tucsonaz.gov/Departments/Planning-Development-Services/Permits/Occupancy-Certificates#section-1 the application is incomplete. a. The site plan is incomplete. Provide the following: 1) Demarcate the 3 required 8.5’ x 18’ parking stalls for the tattoo use and the 3 required 8.5’ x 18’ parking spaces for the adjacent real estate firm (both on the same parcel). Of the six provided, indicate which would be designated as the ADA parking stall 2) Add Proposed Use (Commercial Services Use Group – Personal Service) 3) Update the scale from 1” = 20’-0” to 1/8” = 1’-0” on the egress plan. 4) Update the north arrow on the egress plan to the correct direction. 5) Include the 11704310C parcel dimensions on the site plan.
