Should the above not followed, it may delay your approval. COMMENTS: You are correct, I have spoken and discussed this project previously with you via phone and email. 1. Please allow me to enumerate what we discussed below. a. The proposed new walls as discussed will also be acceptable with the following in mind. i. As I recall your proposal includes fence on top of walls preventing basketball from escaping the basketball court. 1. Walls that are over 7 ft in height shall require structural calculation and detail drawings generated by a structural engineer licensed in the State of Arizona, all structural related exhibits/calculations/drawings are to be sealed/signed/dated by the structural engineer. 2. Please submit the structural engineer’s calculations and drawings. b. The proposed basketball hoop/backboard/post shall require structural calculation and detail drawings generated by a structural engineer licensed in the State of Arizona, all structural related exhibits/calculations/drawings are to be sealed/signed/dated by the structural engineer. i. Emphasis on the caisson-footing/pole/arm/connection detail at the junction of the post and arm as well as to the backboard. 1. Please submit the structural engineer’s calculations and drawings. c. As discussed, please do make sure to contact the Tucson Fire Department regarding accessibility into the facility for emergency should knox box be required. i. Should exits be required for emergency egress as part of your egress plan, please do address this as well. ii. Show this information on your site plan. d. Please do contact planning and zoning in that your development plan will have to be revised to include this project. 2. Please resubmit.
