Provide third-party listing and specifications for all new plumbing fixtures. Reference: Sections 303.4 and 402, IPC 2018. 4. Provide a metering faucet for the lavatory, HS-2, dispensing a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle. Verify that the faucet cycle will last for at least 10-seconds. Reference: Section 419.6, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-09. 5. Provide tempered water for the lavatory, HS-2, using an approved device conforming to ASSE 1070. Reference: Sections 419.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2018. 6. Provide a detail of the water heater installation, including the excess pressure relief, expansion tank, vacuum relief or other anti-siphon device, safety pan, and valves. Reference: Sections 503.1, 504, 606.1, 607.2, and 607.3, IPC 2018. 7. Verify that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the public lavatory complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018. 8. Appliances (e.g. beverage dispensers, ovens, etc.) to be directly connected to the water supply system that do not have listed, integral backflow preventers or integral air gaps conforming to Section 608.14.1, IPC 2018 require backflow prevention. Specify the type of backflow prevention device required for each water connection. Reference: Sections 608.1 and 608.3, IPC 2018. 9. At a minimum, coffee machines and non-carbonated beverage dispensers require the use of a backflow preventer listed to either ASSE 1022, ASSE 1024, or an air gap. Reference: Section 608.17.1.2, IPC 2018. 10. The minimum size for the fixture drain of a water closet is 3”. Reference: footnote (d), Table 709.1, IPC 2018. 11. Provide cleanouts for all horizontal drains; the cleanouts shall be sized per Section 708.1.7, IPC 2018 and shall open to allow cleaning in the direction of flow. Reference: Sections 708.1.1 and 708.1.8, IPC 2018. 12. Correct detail7/P1 to show an air gap, not an air break. Reference: Section 802.3.1, IPC 2018. 13. If the 3-compartment sink is used only for washing, rinsing, and sanitizing utensils used for food service, the sink shall drain indirectly to the grease interceptor with an air gap or an air break. If, however, the 3-compartment sink is also used for the preparation of food items, separate indirect waste pipes shall be provided for each compartment to protect against cross-contamination or fouling and each indirect drain shall terminate with an air gap. Reference: Sections 801.2, 802.1.1, and 802.1.7, IPC 2018. 14. Verify if an existing grease interceptor is currently in place to prevent the discharge of fats, oil, and grease into the public sewer.
