09/05/2024 | Commercial Electrical | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | Please address the electrical plan review comments and provide a written response. The previous plan review comments not addressed or the this most recent submittal has significant electrical design changes that do not satisfy Code or lacks insufficient information. Previous electrical review comments entered on 10-18-23; The scope of work submitted states,” CODE VIOLATION, BUILT W/O PERMIT. REPLCED TO ROOF MOUNT AC. ADDED WALK COOLER AND RELOCATED SALES COUNTER”. 1. Designate branch circuit and breaker panels for all new or replaced electrical equipment and appliances and correlated with complete panel schedules. Previous electrical review comments entered on 3-14-24; 1 Provide a complete panel schedule for panel ‘A’. NEC 408.4. 2 The load calculations for panel ‘C’ circuits #1,3, do not correlate with the loads shown on the power floor plan for the walk-ins. Also justify how the 100 amp OCPD meets code for the walk-in branch circuits. NEC arts 240, 300, 310.15(B)(16). 3 Show the location of panel ‘C’ on the power floor plan. Previous review comment from 10-18-23, #1. Designate branch circuit and breaker panels for all new or replaced electrical equipment and appliances and correlated with complete panel schedules. The comment response per the latest submittal states,” Sorry for the confusion. Panel a is just the ac. Its on its own main panel disconnect”. #1.The reviewer is not sure exactly what that means. Panel ‘A’ is shown on the electrical line diagram as a “Panel” fed by a 200 amp disconnect. Panel ‘A’ is shown on the ‘Power Plan’ as an existing panel feeding both replaced AC units CKTs A1,3 and A2,4, the units are not labeled. There was no complete panel ‘A’ schedule submitted as requested per previous comment. As requested, revise the electrical plans as necessary and submit a complete panel schedule for panel ‘A’ that correlates with the loads served. Also, the replaced or new Mechanical AC equipment shown in the Mechanical plan and Electrical power plan are shown requiring 3 phase power. How is this going to work? Is the electrical service and panel ‘A’ 3 phase? Indicate this on the electrical plans. Why are there only 2 circuits assigned to each unit? #2.There are no branch circuits assigned to the walk-in coolers/freezers and no correlation with any of the panel schedules. Revise the electrical plans as necessary and resubmit. #3. The panel schedule for panel ‘D’ is incomplete. OCPD’s not shown for BUS A. 09/05/2024 | Commercial Mechanical | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | 1. Comment not resolved. Show the size, route, and termination of the condensate drains from the evaporators serving the walk-in cooler and freezer. Provide the system energy efficiency of the walk-in cooler and freezer (see Table C403.10.2, IECC 2018). [Second comment: Provide a complete design for the proposed walk-in cooler and freezer, including construction of the enclosure, doors, condensing units, the evaporators, condensate drains, and the energy efficiency of the total system.] [Initial comment: Provide data to show that the construction and refrigeration equipment performance of the new walk-in coolers complies with the requirements of Section 403.10, IECC 2018.] 2. Comment not addressed. [Initial comment: The ventilation calculations and mechanical plan do not show how the occupiable spaces will be adequately ventilated (i.e. show how the outdoor air will be distributed to all of the occupiable spaces, including the abandoned kitchen space). Reference: Section 401.2, IMC 2018.] |
