There are new installations at this location in the category of built without a permit. No permit were found for the following: a. 3-compartment sink (it replaced a kitchen sink that was previously there) b. Handwash sink with foot pump c. Another steel sink d. Glass Door Refrigerator e. Kegerator commercial beer dispenser f. Espresso machine and coffee dispenser g. Movable table h. Cash register i. Commercial merchandise door cooler j. Microwave k. Hig-low water fountain with bottle filler l. Cashier Counter i. Please provide drawings illustrating item g above. ii. The tops of work surfaces shall be 28 inches min & 34 inches max above the floor per ICC A117.1 sec 902.4.Sec 306.3.3 Knee clearance shall be 11 inches min in depth at 9 inches above the floor, and 8 inches min in depth at 27 inches above the floor. Sec 306.2.4 Additional toe clearance space extending greater than 6 inches beyond the available knee clearance at 9 inches above the floor. Sec 306.3 Knee clearance shall be 30 inches min in width. 904.3.2 Parallel approach, the counter surface 36 inches min length. 904.3.3 Forward approach, the counter surface 30 inches min length. 2. The Snack Bar/Bar Service/Dining will require a 3-compartment sink, hand sink, etc. 3. Breakroom configuration per permit T16CM01862 consist of counter, kitchen sink, dishwasher, & refrigerator. a. This is now replaced by: i. Another steel sink ii. 3-compartment sink (it replaced a kitchen sink that was previously there) iii. Handwash sink with foot pump 4. The breakroom must be included in this permit with its new installations as enumerated above. 5. All items listed in item #1 must be permitted, therefore made part of this permit including the movable partition. 6. In the interest of making sure that the path of egress is clear, please add the tables and chairs layout on the floor plan. 7. Minimum required plumbing fixtures a. Please include and show you calculation on the number of water closets lavatories. 8. This establishment will be serving: a. Draft Beer Ale b. Draft Beer Amber c. Bottled Water d. Hard Seltzer e. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received. Code reference, 2018 International Building Code (IBC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC). Electrical Review: 1. This is a commercial project, requiring all documents to be prepared, sealed, signed, and dated by a registered design professional. Provide complete electrical plans, design, and calculations, sealed by an Arizona Registrant. Reference: Arizona Revised Statutes 32-125, Board of Technical Registration Rules R4-30-304, 2018 IBC section 107.1, 2017 NEC, City of Tucson Commercial Plan Submittal Requirements. https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/sharedassets/public/v/1/pdsd/documents/checklists/commercial_submittal_requirements_july2023.pdf 2. Provide an electrical plan showing any/all electrical work specific to the buildings and site. Plans shall include (as necessary for scope of work), but may not be limited to items below: 3. Provide electrical load calculations, for the Main Panels, Per NEC 220.40. 4. Show all wiring methods in detail for all new or modified branch circuit conductors and feeders. Conductor type and conduit size/type. Note wet use requirements. NEC arts;300 and 408.4. 5. Provide a panel schedules, showing the circuits that are being modified, added or removed or existing. NEC arts;300 and 408.4. Include panel bus rating and A.I.C. rating. IBC 107.1. 6. Designate the circuit number on the electrical plans, that corresponds to the panel schedule, at the location of each existing, new or modified light fixture, receptacle, and equipment disconnect switch, NEC arts;300 and 408.4. IBC 107.1. Each electrical outlet should be labeled by panel and circuit number. 7. Show all GFCI protection (NEC 210.8(B)) in readily accessible location per NEC 210.8. receptacles behind appliances or in cabinets may require labeled GFCI protection in a readily accessible location or with GFCI breakers.
