General / Plan Submittal Requirements: Please revise to provide a complete electronic document (PDF) plan submittal that
complies with the following:
• All Documents shall be in Portable Document Format (PDF) and NOT drawing (DWG), computer aided design (CAD),
photo (JPEG), or Word document (DOCX) formats.
• Orient all sheets so the top of the page is at the top of the computer screen and the title bar is on the right side of the
screen.
• In addition to being oriented correctly, all sheets within the submittal must be placed in order reflected within the sheet
index for the plan set.
• Scanned documents submitted as PDF must be legible. The resolution of some scanned documents may fail to
provide the level of resolution necessary to review.
• All plan sheets within the electronic document submittal shall be of a uniform size throughout the submittal.
• Minimum electronic document size shall be 11" x 17".
• Plans shall be prepared using a design or drafting software. Hand drawn plans may be accepted when legible using
blue or black ink and scanned as a PDF, which maintains the scale of the drawings.
• Text and design drawings on submittals may not use red ink. The use of red ink for markups and text is reserved for
use by staff only.
• Plans shall be fully dimensioned and drawn to a minimum 1/4"-1'-0" scale or greater. Other architectural scales may
be acceptable but first must be approved by staff.

1. Provide an outdoor lighting plan that meets the requirements of OLC 104.2. This Outdoor Lighting Plan shall include all light sources for the entire parcel, all new and existing lighting fixtures. Show/locate the different light sources on your site plan. Number the light fixtures on your lighting fixture table and use the same number on your site plan.
2. List the Lighting Area per OLC chapter 3 and used in Table 401.1. Specify the compliance option from Table 401.1 that is being used. Total outdoor light output shall not exceed the lumen limits listed in Table 401.1.
3. Show compliance with City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code with an approved lighting calculation in accordance with OLC 104.2.1, 401.2. Include all exterior fixtures on the property in the calculations, both new and existing. List shielded and unshielded lights in the calculation. Show unshielded fixtures with a maximum of 3,000 lumens, OLC 401.4.
4. Show lamps with a maximum of 3500K color temperature, OLC 402.1.
5. Fixtures installed under canopies and overhangs. Outdoor lighting fixtures shall not be counted in determining the total light output when they are full cutoff light fixtures installed under canopies, building overhangs, or roof eaves, OLC 401.2.1(3).
6. Provide manufacture’s specification sheets for outdoor lighting fixtures.
7. Indicate whether or not a special inspection is required per sec. 104.2.2, and 106.2.
