1. The remodeled bathrooms do not meet the requirements for accessible toilet rooms. It does appear that the bathrooms are technically infeasible to alter to meet accessibility requirements. In this case, a family or assisted-use toilet room shall be located on the same floor and in the same area as the existing toilet rooms. [Ref. IEBC 2018 Sec. 305.8.10] {Based on previous email correspondence with the applicant and the City, an appeal will need to be applied for each time a permit is submitted to use the first floor as the accessible bathroom for each permit to remodel the bathrooms in this building that do not meet accessibility requirements.}
