◦ 2018 International Building Code
◦ 2018 International Energy Code
◦ 2018 International Fuel Gas Code
◦ 2018 International Mechanical Code

◦ 2017 National Electrical Code
◦ 2018 International Fire Code
◦ City of Tucson/ Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code
◦ ICC A117.1 - 2009 Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities (by reference)
2. General Comment- Indicate the Occupancy Classification and Building Construction Type on the drawings in accordance with the 2018 IBC. (2018 IBC Section 302 and Section 602).
3. General Comment- Note on the drawings if the fire alarm and fire sprinkler drawings will be provided as a differed submittal, a separate permit, or if they will be included in the resubmittal for review. (2018 IBC Section 107.2.1).
4. General Comment- coordinate the plans so that they all face the same direction, and the notes are all facing upright. The drawings rare difficult to follow. (2018 IBC Section 107.2.1).
5. Correct the spelling typographic error at the top of the page to correctly spell “Assisted” in the project identification title and address. (2018 IBC Section 107.2.1).
6. A.1 (Reference Site Plan)- Update all title blocks and remove the R1 designation after the words “Care Facility”. This
implies that this is an R1 occupancy class which based on the description does not appear to be correct. (2018 IBC Section 310.2).
7. A.1 (Reference Site Plan)- Correct the spelling typographic error under the square footage information and correctly spell “Vehicle” use area. (2018 IBC Section 107.2.1).
8. A.1 (Reference Site Plan)- Update the Index to Drawings to include S2 site development plan for reference only. (2018 IBC Section 107.2.1).
9. A.1 (Reference Site Plan)- Update the Index to Drawings to include the electrical sheet E-2, it is in the set but missing from the index. (2018 IBC Section 107.2.1).
10. A.1 (Reference Site Plan)- Update the Index to Drawings or update the actual electrical sheets so the sheet name and the index match. The sheets indicate E-1, and the index indicates E1.0. Coordinate the drawings. (2018 IBC Section 107.2.1).
11. A.1 (Reference Site Plan)- The Index to Drawings indicates the Mechanical Sheet is M1.0 however it was mislabeled as A6.1. Coordinate the drawings. (2018 IBC Section 107.2.1).
12. A.3 (Building Floor Plan)- Update the floor plan notes to reference the international Building Code on the International Residential Code. This is a commercial project. (2018 IBC Section 107.2.1).
13. A.3 (Building Floor Plan)- The door and window schedule indicate there was a salon and hall shower room however there is no such areas noted on the plans. Coordinate the schedule with the plans. (2018 IBC Section 107.2.1).
14. A.3 (Building Floor Plan)- Provide dimensions for the hallway that connects bedrooms 1-6 to the living area. no overall dimension could be found, and the dimension shown at the living room indicates 3’-8” from the face of the finished
column to the backside of the wall stud on the linen closet. This would make this opening less than 36” wide. Coordinate this opening with the required exit width for this hall. (2018 IBC Section 1005.1 and Section 1020.2).
15. A.3 (Building Floor Plan)- Provide dimensions for the overall clear distance between the columns and the proposed downspout outside of the exterior hinged door M next to the dining table. It does not appear there is enough space for
the proposed door and the required 18” clear width on the hinged side for accessibility. (ICC A117.1-2009 Fig 404.2.3.2).
16. A.3 (Building Floor Plan)- Provide dimensions for the pantry and med closet on the plans. List the door type for the med room in the door and window schedule. (2018 IBC Section 107.2.1).

19. A6.2 (Finishes Plan)- Indicate on the room finish schedule that all interior finishes will be in accordance with 2018 IBC 803.1.
20. A6.2 (Finishes Plan)- Clarify the notes for the finishes, the notes indicate the finishes are existing, but this is a new build. (2018 IBC Section 107.2.1).
21. A6.2 (Finishes Plan)- Relocate the door hardware notes to the door and window schedule or note on the door and window schedule to see sheet A6.2 for notes. Coordinate the notes and remove the references to existing doors. (2018 IBC Section 107.2.1).
22. A6.3 (Egress Path)- Indicate the occupancy load for the proposed facility on the drawings including the secondary spaces such as the kitchen office and living areas. (20181 IBC Section 1004).
23. A6.3 (Egress Path)- Update the means of egress information shown on this sheet. The travel distance calculation shown of I-1 occupancy of under 75’ has a maximum occupancy load of 10 people however the occupancy would be
higher due to the common space and secondary square foot areas for staff, visitors and the like. (2018 IBC Table 1006.2.1 and Table 1006.3.3(2)).
24. A6.3 (Egress Path)- The means of egress notes indicates an occupant load under 50 people requires only one exit is not for this use group. The note further down indicates two exits are required and provided. Only one exit is shown on
the plans. Revise the drawings to match the use group for number of exits, exit widths, and exit paths. (2018 IBC
Table 1006.2.1 and Table 1006.3.3(2)).
25. A6.3 (Egress Plan)- Update the travel distances to start from the most remote point of each room, not from the room doors. Coordinate this information with the required number of exits, exit sizing, exit remoteness and the length of
dead-end corridor allowed. (2018 IBC 1017.3 and Section 1020.4).
26. A6.3 (Egress Plan)- The Egress plan has a note that indicates “per chapter 10 min. eight 7’ feet on path egress”. Please clarify what code or condition this note is referencing, it is unclear.
