09/09/2024 | Commercial Building | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | Please submit your revised documents and provide a letter with a written response letter to address each of the comments indicating how the Building Review comments were addressed. Additionally, please submit complete copies of all permit documents (i.e. plans, calculations, reports, etc.) even if they have not been changed. New Comment from second review: Sheet G1.1: Please indicate the width of the historic stairs and include the occupant capacity of the stairs. IBC 107.2.3 Sheet G1.1: Please amend plans to provide a photometric plan or other method of showing 1 footcandle of normal power illumination at the walking surface along the path(s) of exit discharge, while the building is occupied. IBC 1008.2.1, IBC 1008.2.3 Comment is partially satisfied: The provided photometric plan shows some areas with less than the minimum 1-foot candle of light. Please resolve this so all required areas receive at least 1foot candle of light at the walking surface. This may entail adding some light fixtures. If exterior light fixtures are added, show compliance with the Outdoor Lighting Code. Sheet G1.1 Amend site plan to show at least one accessible route within the site shall be provided from public transportation stops, accessible parking, accessible passenger loading zones, and public streets or sidewalks to the accessible building entrance served. IBC Section 1104.1 Comment remains and is expanded: Please provide an accessible route as described in the original comment. This building and the accessibility requirements are not affected by the level of accessibility found at 31 E Toole. A new Historic review has been added to the workflow. Please contact me if you have any questions about these comments. 09/10/2024 | Fire New Construction | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | -Resolve all building comments. -Building code information Sheet G1.1 states it has a 13D fire sprinkler system. Verify this is not a 13D fire sprinkler system as this is not allowed in this type of building/occupancy. Make corrections to the type of sprinkler system installed. john.vincent@tucsonaz.gov 5203495581 |

09/09/2024 | Historic | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | Structure not in the HPZ. It seems that exterior improvements include only new exterior lighting, which will not require Rio Nuievo Area (RNA)/historic preservation review. However, this site is within a designated Archeological Sensitive Zone; an archaeological monitor must be present during any grading, trenching, boring, etc. Archaeological monitoring should be coordinated with the Tucson Historic Preservation Office. Any questions, please send me an email: maria.gayosso@tucsonaz.gov. Thank you. | ||
