Provide sufficient detail on the drawings to evaluate the energy compliance of the additions to the building envelope. The information shall, as a minimum, include U-factors of the envelope systems and fenestration components, along with the R-values of the insulation and the SHGC for the fenestration. Reference: Sections C402, C502.1, International Energy Conservation Code 2018. 2. Provide a split system heat pump that meets the DOE 2023 M1 efficiency standards for the Southwest United States. 3. Ventilation for repair garages requires mechanical exhaust of at least 0.75 CFM per square foot with no recirculation of air. Per the Code Plan on sheet G001, the area of the new garage is 433 square feet. Provide a minimum exhaust flow rate of 325 CFM. Reference: Sections 403.2.1(3) and 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018 and Table 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018. 4. If the motor vehicles will be operated for more than just entering and leaving the garage, provide a design for a source-capture exhaust system for the operating motor vehicles. Due to the proximity of the structure to the property line, in conjunction of item 1 above, do provide drawings that illustrate the required fire rating on the portion of the roof and interior walls. 3. "The garages will have 1 exit directly to the exterior serving 3occ.(2+1)." COMMENT: One is not allowed to enter into another space (carport) to get to the outside.
